Cancellation & Withdrawal

You may cancel your application for any reason, noting that various fees (defined on the Fees Schedule) may apply depending on the timing of your cancellation.

In all cases, there is at least a $100 Informed Cancellation or Withdrawal fee assessed.

Your request must be sent in writing to, or via an acknowledged email exchange with, the ABVLM headquarters office. Any hardcopy written notification should require signature confirmation of receipt. Telephone or fax notification may also be utilized, but they do not guarantee that your request has been seen and processed.

If you have already made reservations to sit either at a Pearson VUE Test Center or using the OnVUE Remote Proctored option, you must also cancel that reservation directly with Pearson VUE. Canceling your application with ABVLM but failing to cancel a Pearson VUE reservation will result in a $250 Failure to Cancel a scheduled Pearson VUE Exam fee which will be deducted from any refund.

Applicants may petition the Board for partial or full fee waivers if there are special circumstances.

Please retain all documentation of your cancellation, including signature receipts, for future reference.
