Shape the Future of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine

Call for Board of Director Nominations

The American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM) is seeking exceptional leaders to join our Board of Directors. As we continue to advance the field of venous and lymphatic medicine, we invite nominations of qualified candidates who are passionate about elevating standards, expanding education, and strengthening our professional community.

Directors serve five-year terms and Organizational Directors serve three-year terms. Both play a crucial role in guiding our organization's strategic direction and impact. We welcome diverse perspectives and expertise that will strengthen our board's ability to serve the venous and lymphatic medicine community.

Board members attend one in-person meeting annually (travel covered), approximately three 1-hour virtual meetings, and complete a 1-hour orientation. Additional time is needed for meeting preparation and potential committee service.

What if I have limited board experience?

We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds. While governance experience is valuable, we also consider leadership in other capacities, clinical expertise, and unique perspectives that strengthen our board.
