Before applying to the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, we strongly urge you to review the eligibility requirements (criteria to sit) posted on the Reference Materials page. All applicants are responsible for knowing and meeting all certification examination prerequisites prior to submitting their application. The Reference Materials page also holds several files that will be helpful in your development of related application materials, such as the case log template.
The general steps for applying to the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine are as follows:

- Provide All Required Documents
- Pay The Application Fees
- Submit Your Final Application
You may submit your application anytime during October though January preceding the annual April exam.
Extensions of this deadline are entertained upon request.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to register with Pearson VUE as soon as possible after receiving your notification that you may sit for the exam, noting that February 15 is the earliest you can register at Pearson VUE. The earlier one registers, the greater likelihood the requested testing center and date will be available.
